Artist's Statement

I use traditional and experimental techniques to depict the earth in untraditional ways. My work is often about time and change – sometimes fast and radical, sometimes a slow evolution.

Series

In the Walnut Zen series walnut husks from a tree on our property collaborates with silk, heat, water and air to create fluid shapes and subtle tones of colour on the cloth.

going A new series, Going, is a visual journal. Maps of where I've been are overlaid with imagery representing external and/or internal landscapes.

"Old Red Sandstone" will be published as one of 1,000 Artisan Textiles. This book is edited by Sandra Salamony and Gina M. Brown and will be published by Quarry Books in May, 2010.
